Today I went to visit the camping location at Dreyfus. I had a post about it before titled Earn Linden Dollars By Roasting Marshmallows. The camping location is just right above the shop of Animate! Me which is owned by mikeD Streeter who is also the owner of The Roman Empire sim.
The location is now empty, although it’s still there but it’s no longer a camping location. The camping logs are gone and it’s been replaced by a mini garden of somekind. I did take a look around and I didn’t find a single camping tool or device anywhere. I guess the owner is keeping the place up for future camping events. [read full entry…]
I did a little exploring today and I found a few camping locations for all of us campers to exploit, errrr, visit. LOL!
Soundz-Workz-Club
The camping device is a bench and the camping rate is 2L$ per 15 minutes. There are many benches at the place but I only saw 2 benches that are used for camping.

The camping device used here is a dancing cage and the current camping rate is 2L$ per 10 minutes. The rate is the minimum suggested rate for camping.

The camping device used here are camping chairs and the current camping rate is 2L$ per 15 minutes. Unfortunately, the avatar you see camping in the photo should have learned how to sit on a camping chair. LOL!
I’m not sure about the 5L$/10 Minutes claim but I did see a very big Camping area. Most of the dance pads pay 1L$/10 Minutes and I saw some dance pads that pay 2L$/12 Minutes. I also saw a Camp Master which pays 2L$/9 Minutes but it is limited to 10 users only and the payout limit was only 36L$.
The actual Camping rate isn’t big but I think it’s still a nice place to camp for Linden Dollars specially when your regular Camping area is full.
This Camping spot was shared by Triges Mayo. He/She said that the owner needs a lot of traffic to the place. I went there to check it out and there were 2 Camping Benches paying campers 3L$ per 10 Minutes. Each Camping bench can accommodate 3 campers for a total of 6 campers. Unfortunately, I saw more campers than benches. LOL!
Follow these or be banned from the Rookery Island Chain.

No solicting sex-either to sell or recieve.
DO NOT advertise or pass out landmarks to other stores to anyone.
No begging or asking for money from anyone.
This is a high traffic island-therefore remove all attachments, ao’s (MUST be removed not just turned off to turn of the script), bling, Excite body parts, defense attachments or any other scripted items that may add to the lag. You do not need any of these items to camp. Excessive use of scripted attachments may result in your banning. Again-be considerate of your fellow campers & our shoppers.
NO bots OR resit scripts. Suspected users will be banned-no questions asked.
Absolutely NO WEAPONS. PERIOD. NO NEGOTATION.
Any violations of the above rules will be dealt with by permanant banning.
We want everyone to have fun & socialize if you’d like-but we have to find balance between our shopper’s & Camping. If you won’t help us do that-we will eliminate Camping. We patrol this area constantly but if by chance we are not right here & there is a problem you may IM the below people for immediate help or to answer questions.

This location was IMed to me by John Trihey so I went there to check it out. When I got there the place was already full and it was located way up in the sky. Hey look! It’s me Camping! LOL!
Nothing is special or different about this Camping spot although those red colored hover text above the pads are a little to painful to read. I guess they never heard of white colored text. Green or yellow would be find too. LOL!
The bench is located outside the mall and the other camps are located inside.

When I heard about this Camping location I immediately teleported to the place to check it out myself. After landing, someone, a security personnel, rudely shouted at me. Ordering me to stay behind the red line. I was still rezzing at that point. Everything around me was either invisible or gray. I moved after seeing the red line that was mentioned but not after being yelled at again. Some people are just plain rude and impolite.
The place is called AQUAMALL and Camping dance pads are everywhere. You must join the group to get the 4L$/10 Minute Camping rate. The normal Camping rate is 3L$/10 Minutes. When in use, the dance pad will ask you to select which dance to perform through a dialogue box. If you fail to select a dance then you’ll be kick off the dance pad.
Only a few benches are active. Just fly around to find the other Camping benches in this Sim. In the first pic, the avatars were Ruthed (they should get the Autoderuth HUD) and on the second pic the images or skins didn’t load.
The Camping rate is unknown because the floating text didn’t have it displayed and there were no available Dance Pad which I can use to check the current Camping rate.
I still remember my early days in Second Life. The first thing I asked some of the residents back then was, “How do I get some money?” and the frequent response or answer given to me was “CAMP”! I kept on asking residents about this camping thing other residents were telling me about until I was directed to a Dance Pad. I believe I was in a Nude Beach of some kind and someone (I can no longer remember who) taught me what to do. So, there I was watching my avatar Dance Camp for L$. I was also told that there were more Camping spots out there that pays more than the 1L$/8 minutes that I was currently getting.

Anyway, I still camp up to this day. It helps support my place at Scaramanga (84/232/67), 3 Stars and a Sun.
